From Man Marketing to Mad Marketing!
Finally good news from the recession – marketing theory is exposed as the sham it always was jargon-filled! One of the problems with marketing management has already invested in the research that they only created problems, because it ultimately took the innate sense of personal responsibility that all people have to Marketing.
Marketing managers today Wade so deeply into the management theory that they can barely do their job.
Over the past two decades, marketing theory has been deliberately imposed on almost every aspect of business. Resistance is widespread, but in vain.
By the fifties it was almost mandatory in the U.S., if you wanted to run a business get a master’s degree in business administration – preferably from an MBA from Harvard Business School. Currently, 1800 students away untouched, trying hard not to think too hard about the economic successes achieved by such notables as George W. Bush and Rick Wagoner!
What do you do at Harvard is a wonderful network of people who were there with you and a set of tools that you can Bamboozle people for the rest of your life! It is a habit of thinking – conventional conventional responses to situations. Business schools teach using a case study, so it is always telling people how to react to things that happened in the past. No wonder when something like the credit crisis will pass vast numbers of highly educated people in a compartmentalized world are unable to comment!
There is this cult of destruction that you see in the American Management theory – creative destruction, with an emphasis on destruction.
If there is any hope, it can not lie in the private sector, which inevitably will sooner or later, looking for new drinks from the magicians.
Many think that if they watched Management theory become a religion are false gods miracle story, the blame for the current recession. Target-related bonuses generated greed, irresponsibility generated. Partitioning bosses left with no overall view of what was going on.
There is no doubt that marketing similar types of thinking when it came to advertising in advertising because it was completely dehumanized and depersonalized encouraged! Advertising messages were constructed by analyzing what competitors were doing, and say, and then create as much work as possible from what was said at this time on the market! Marketing managers should be chosen not for their ability to Bandy jargon with their superiors, but for their empathy, pragmatism, experience and energy with their staff.
